The Band
About

Power Clinic formed in Columbus, Ohio in 2019 out of a shared obsession with volume, tension, and the feeling that something is about to break.
What started as a four-piece playing to empty rooms quickly exploded into one of the most talked-about live acts in independent rock. Their debut EP Ignition racked up over 2 million streams in its first month and landed them a spot on three major music festival lineups.
Their 2022 full-length High Tension earned universal critical praise and sold out a 20-city North American tour. Follow-up album Raw Current — released in 2024 — cemented their place in the conversation about the most important rock bands working today.
Power Clinic is Dax Mercer, Vera Koss, T.J. Okafor, and Mila Renner.
Members

Dax Mercer
Vocals / Guitar
Founding member and primary songwriter. Dax's gritty vocals and percussive guitar style define the Power Clinic sound. He cut his teeth playing dive bars across the midwest before the band broke nationally in 2022.

Vera Koss
Lead Guitar
Classically trained and self-taught in equal measure, Vera brings a technical precision that gives Power Clinic's music its razor edge. Her solo work on "Voltage" has been called one of the best guitar moments of the decade.

T.J. Okafor
Bass
The low end that keeps the whole machine running. T.J. studied music theory at Berklee before dropping out to go on tour. His pocket is immaculate and his stage presence even more so.

Mila Renner
Drums
The engine of Power Clinic. Mila's power and dynamics are unmatched in rock today. She joined the band in 2021 and immediately elevated every track with her explosive, precise drumming.
